As money withdraws
Like drinking water
Into towers
That spurn the earth
And entrance is decided
By Google rank
And problems have grown
Past arm's length and eye's reach
And ancient carbons
Are let from bondage
And living indoors
Is a post graduate degree
In a downsized market
And every country
Contains a country
Of no country's people
And we swear by our phones
To keep billionaires safe
And we wonder why
We watch zombie movies
The old call for a savior
Sings back in our mouths
And the prophecy comes
Once again from the cave:
A jailer will keep
Our freedom safe,
A destroyer preserve
The steamy blue earth,
A criminal guard
The daycare center,
A liar tell us
All we need know.
